After taking time off for health reasons, actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu has resumed her acting career. The talented star is now back on set, filming for the highly anticipated OTT series Rakt Brahmand – The Bloody Kingdom. Directed by Rahi Anil Barve, who made a name for himself with Tumbbad, this fantasy drama series boasts an impressive cast, including Samantha alongside notable actors Ali Fazal, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Aditya Roy Kapur.
The show’s creators, Raj and DK, have already established themselves as successful web series makers with hits like The Family Man, Guns & Gulaabs, and Farzi. Samantha took to Instagram to express her excitement about returning to work, sharing a photo of her on-set essentials, including her ID card, coffee cup, and leather bag. Her caption reflects her enthusiasm for the project.
Rakt Brahmand commenced filming on September 19, and fans can expect an exciting narrative from this talented ensemble cast. Samantha’s return to work is also marked by her involvement in other projects, including Citadel: Honey Bunny, a spin-off of the popular Citadel series set to release on OTT platforms this November. Additionally, she is working on her first Telugu production, Bangaram, which is scheduled for release in 2025.
