Director Vasan Bala, known for his unique and visually captivating films, recently revealed an amusing anecdote about how the script for his upcoming action-packed film “Jigra” reached its lead actress, Alia Bhatt. Speaking to Tried and Refused Productions, Bala shared that he had sent a rather raw and unedited email containing his initial thoughts and ideas for the script directly to Karan Johar.
“I had written a very kachha pakka email, stream of consciousness thoughts… sent it to Karan and 6-7 hours later, he called saying that I have already sent it to Alia and I was really not happy with it,” Bala recalled. He confessed to feeling a bit embarrassed about the state of the email, stating, “I was like I would have at least done some spell check, grammar check, hygiene, written some very nice hero entry… That email was sent and I asked Karan ‘Why did you do this?’”
Karan Johar, however, explained that this was simply how things worked in the industry. Bala ultimately met with Johar a few days later to discuss the project further.
