The highly anticipated OnePlus 13 is set to launch in China later this month, and leaks are already revealing some key details about the upcoming flagship smartphone. One piece of information generating buzz is the potential price increase compared to its predecessor, the OnePlus 12.
According to a leak on Chinese social media platform Weibo, the OnePlus 13 with 16GB RAM and 512GB storage could launch at CNY 5,299. This represents a CNY 500 or a 10.4% hike from the OnePlus 12’s launch price of CNY 4,799 for the same configuration. While there’s no official confirmation on the India pricing yet, a similar percentage increase could see the OnePlus 13 priced around ₹77,000, compared to the OnePlus 12’s ₹69,999 launch price.
But the potential price hike might be justified by some impressive upgrades rumored for the OnePlus 13. The phone is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 4/8 Elite processor, which is said to outperform even the iPhone 16 Pro’s A18 Pro chip in certain benchmarks. This could mark a significant shift in the smartphone market, as Apple has long dominated with its own silicon.
Other rumored specifications include:
Display: A 6.8-inch BOE X2 LTPO AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 6,000 nits and 1,600 nits in high brightness mode (HBM).
Battery: A massive 6,000mAh battery.
Charging: Support for 100W fast charging and 50W magnetic wireless charging.
Fingerprint Sensor: An upgraded ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for faster and more secure unlocking.
The OnePlus 13 is shaping up to be a powerful contender in the flagship smartphone market, but the price increase will undoubtedly be a factor for potential buyers.
