Koratala Siva, the director of the highly anticipated film ‘Devara,’ starring Jr. NTR, has made a unique casting choice for the role of NTR’s wife in the film. Instead of opting for a well-known actress, Siva chose Shruti Marathe, a Marathi actress relatively unknown to the Telugu audience.
In an interview, Siva explained his reasoning behind this unconventional decision. He stated that he wanted someone who wouldn’t overshadow the character and whose presence would feel natural within the world of ‘Devara.’ He felt that a familiar face or a star might have unintentionally drawn attention away from the role itself.
Siva emphasized that he was looking for an actress who fit seamlessly into the film’s narrative, someone who wouldn’t be recognized solely by their name but would embody the character convincingly. He believes Shruti Marathe perfectly embodies this vision.
